BRICKFIELD HILL - Bed and breakfast inn
The Lavender Room takes its name from its bold Victorian colour scheme.

Situated at the front of Brickfield Hill on the fourth floor, the Lavender Room enjoys long hours of sunshine and a light, breezy ambience. It has comforting views over the canopy of large plane trees in summer, and in winter, across Victorian roof-tops to the adjacent suburb of Paddington.

The continental king-size bed is one of two beds purchased for the guest house, each of which were originally imported from Holland to Indonesia, then the Dutch East Indies, in the 19th century.

The floor is treated with a large oriental rug. There is a comfortable chaise longue and original wooden fireplace.
